The most characteristic features of the Himalayas are their soaring heights, steep-sided jagged peaks, valley and alpine glaciers often of stupendous size, topography deeply cut by erosion, seemingly unfathomable river gorges, complex geologic structure, and series of elevational belts (or zones) that display different ecological associations of flora, fauna, and climate. Viewed from the south, the Himalayas appear as a gigantic crescent with the main axis rising above the snow line. Himalaya is not just your average type of mountain resort. Day1
Arrive in afternoon at Delhi airport. On arrival you will be met by drive, who will accompany you to transfer the hotel. Rest and relax at your hotel followed dinner and night stay.
Day2
Breakfast followed by a tour of Humuyuns Tomb and the Qutab Minar complex. Besides the famous tower the complex also has the finest metallurgy pillar made in the ancient world, created by the Guptas. After the Qutab Minar lunch followed by a tour Jama Masjid followed by exploring the old Delhi bazaar. In the evening dinner at Kareems, the 5th generation Mughal restaurant, followed by returning to hotel for night stay.
Day 3
Breakfast followed transfer to Delhi airport for boarding the Manali flight. After arrived Manali transfer to hotel for breakfast and proceed to your Manali day tour (Salong valley and Hadimba Temple) and old city of Manali
Day 4
Naggar - Rumsu (2150m) - Stelling (1,350m) (Trek /5-6 Hours) This day, you assemble at Naggar and begin the Chanderkhani Pass trekking experience right away. The activity is a delightful one amidst Blue Pine and deodar, walnut, golden oak and wild cherry areas. Once at this place, you ascend for around an hour or more to the path that brings you to Rumsu Village. From here, there is a clear route that takes you to Stelling pastures. Tonight, you will sleep in tents.
Day 5
Stelling – Chiklani Base camp (3,450m) (Trek/5-6 Hours) This day, enjoy a hike that would first be on charming Stelling and Ghalkrari pasture stretches. When at this place you can see Birch trees. Sometime during the course of the Chanderkhani Pass trek, you take a steady ascend to the Chiklani basecamp. Tonight, you will sleep in tents.
Day 6
Chiklani Base camp - Chanderkhani Pass (3,650m) - Nagruni Thach (2,800m) (Trek/5-7 Hours) Your whole trekking journey provides stunning sights of snow-clad mountains and charming open valleys. Today, you ascend to the Dhalakda Pathar and later proceed to a steady uphill on the ridge of the Chanderkhani Pass. From here, soak in the great views of Bara Bangal range in the west, Pir Panjal to the north and Parvati in the east. After that you start your climb down gets steeper when on the way to Nagruni as compared to the climb up to the Pass. Tread carefully and arrive at the camping ground of Nagruni where you will pitch tents for the night.
Day 7
Trek from Nagruni Thach to Malana (2600m) (Trek/5 - 6 hours) This day, the path from Nagruni carries on to an at times steep downhill till you arrive at Manala. Enjoy the trek that is a charming one amidst conifer forest. Reach Malana Village and pitch tents for the night.
Day 8
Trek from Malana to Jari, Drive from Jari to Manikaran to Kullu (Trek/2-3 hours) (Drive/ 1-2 Hours) Today morning, you carry on with the downhill climb on a steep through a route that is marked well till Jari. At first, you go downhill amidst fields and then pass through a woody area of mostly Deodar trees. Proceed downhill to Manala Nallah. When at this place, cross the gorge area and arrive at Manala Power project site. Proceed walking to Jari, from where you hop in to a vehicle to be driven to Kullu through Maniraran. Reach Kullu that marks the end of your Chandrakhani Pass trekking journey. Night stay at hotel in Manali.
Day 9
Breakfast followed transfer to airport for board Delhi flight to connect your return International flight.
All the accommodations (3-4 star category hotels in city and tents) with all major meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)..
